We contracted Aldevron to supply GMP-s plasmids. Aldevron understands the plasmid generation process and has the technical know-how to produce high-quality plasmids template. However, it is worth knowing that Aldevron will intentionally set their end...otoxin or some assays to a higher limit, knowing that the sponsor will ask for a lower range. The issue here is that Aldevron insists on charging for the lower limits knowing fully well that their process can achieve those limits. Also, Aldevron will try to sell any excess materials to the sponsor after they have dispensed the amount the sponsor requested, even though the sponsor has already paid for the batch, labor cost, facility time, etc. Working with Aldevron can frustrate you, but at the end of that frustration is a finished pDNA or mRNA.
