Silantes produces and distributes uniform and site-specific stable isotope labeled biomolecules for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and quantitative mass spectrometry (proteomics and metabolomics), >98 % isotopically enriched with the isotopes 2H, 13C and 15N.

Silantes technology was developed in 1998 by Dr. Hermann Heumann at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry. As a spin-off of a renowned academic institute, we know from experience what it takes for a successful research project.

Silantes has also been awarded funding by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung) for our production technology “Development of a zero waste value chain for the production of stable isotope labeled (SI) biomolecules by means of biotechnological fermentation for proteomics and NMR applications”.
The BSFZ seal certifies that companies that have received at least one positive decision from the Certification Office for Research Grants (BSFZ) have demonstrated their R&D activity.
